    • Still collecting feedback about the changes

  • Rainier and Jackson

    • Not enough room for a dedicated left-turn lane

      • Would have to remove bus stop to add this

    • They can adjust the signal to have a left turn and straight at the same time

    • May need to upgrade the transit timing as well

    • The city needs to perform analysis to see what the overall traffic effect will be

    • No funding for this change at the moment

      • This will have transit priority in the future when COVID is over

  • 900 Rainier Building

    • The developer performed a traffic study

      • They are looking for net addition of trips

      • Estimated +42 cars in the morning 

      • Jonathan will send a traffic study

    • They are giving up real estate for more sidewalks

    • The city won’t add inlet mid-block on Rainier, too much traffic impact

    • Lots of traffic in morning and night

    • Jonathan is meeting with the traffic coordinator on this 

    • 138 stall garage, 400 units, with retail

    • The city is asking the developer to perform an updated traffic study

    • Request: What is the volumetric output through Charles?

  • I90 off-ramps

    • Station access study has been performed

    • They are aware the current crossing is not good

    • I90 is state property and has to be cleared through WSDOT not SDOT

      • They require a much longer review process

      • SDOT has submitted a list of requests to WSDOT

    • Attempt to get funding for this intersection during the state legislature
