Because of its proximity to Seattle's downtown and freeways, cut-through traffic is a huge issue in Jackson Place, and has been the focus of over a decade of neighborhood activism.
In the Spring of 2007, the neighborhood worked with SvR Design Company to develop a neighborhood mobility plan and was recently awarded funding from the City of Seattle's "Bridging the Gap" program to help implement it.
